Demi Moore has insisted that she and her ex husband Bruce Willis remain close.

The former couple were married from 1987 to 2000, and share three children: daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis. They also appeared together in the 1991 film, Mortal Thoughts.

In more recent times, Moore has cared for her ex husband, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia back in 2o23.

“We will always be a family, just in a different form", Demi Moore said of her relationship with Willis. "For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love”.

Moore also added that she hoped their post-divorce friendship could help others going through a similar journey.

“I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things” she said. “There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love".

"shock and awe"

Demi Moore is a favourite to win Best Actress at this year's Academy Awards, which take place on March 2 in Los Angeles.

On the whole experience, Moore said: “This whole journey has just been a shock and awe. I had no expectations, so everything has been a surprise, and honestly, that’s a really beautiful place to be sitting in”.

Prior to her role in The Substance, Demi Moore had admitted that she had contemplated stepping away from acting.

“I had hit a low point where I didn’t feel like I was expanding like I wasn’t being challenged", she revealed.

“And I thought, maybe the universe is telling me I need to do something else. But then The Substance came along, and I thought, ‘Okay, this I can dive into. This is something I can bring all of myself to".

Back in January, Demi Moore received a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture/Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance.

In her acceptance speech, Moore revealed that she was once referred to as a "popcorn actress". More on this here.
