Once a firm family TV favourite for decades, Austrailian born Rolf Harris was convicted for a string of sexual offences in June 2014. The offences were said to have taken place between 1968 and 1986.

Victims include an eight year old autograph hunter and two girls in their early teens. Harris was also convicted for indecently assaulting his daughter's friend over a 16 year period.

Harris' conviction saw him stripped of his 2012 BAFTA Fellowship, along with his CBE which he received in 2006, and Austrailian honours. He had been awarded an MBE in the 1960s, and an OBE a decade later.

In total, the disgraced presenter was jailed for 12 assaults, and sentenced to 5 years and 9 months in prison.

However in 2017, one of these 12 assaults was overturned by the UK's Court of Appeal, and Harris was later released on licence that same year, having served 3 years of his sentence at HMP Stafford.

Rolf Harris was the biggest household name to be arrested by detectives as part of Operation Yewtree, which was set up following the historical abuse allegations made against the late entertainer and DJ Jimmt Savile.
