Dolly Parton is mourning the death of her husband Carl Dean, who passed away aged 82.
The couple got married in 1966, having met two years earlier outside a launderette in 1964, when Parton was 18 years old.
In a statement, Parton said that her beloved Carl would be laid to rest at a private ceremony, with immediate family in attendance. The family have called for privacy at this time, with a cause of death yet to be officially confirmed.

Carl Dean is survived by his wife Dolly, as well as siblings Sandra and Donnie.
