"Downton Abbey: The New Era" was planned soon after the release of the first movie in 2019 but the pandemic slowed things down. The release date was pushed out to December 2021 but with so many cinemas closed, they chose to wait so more people could come and see it.
All the main cast are returning including some newcomers - "Hannibal" star Hugh Dancy, Nathalie Baye from "Catch me if you can" and Dominic West from "The Crown".
