Ed Sheeran has revealed that he will share new music every "two, three weeks".

The singer/songwriter made this revelation during a recent episode of the podcast, Call Her Daddy, which saw him share details for new music, including lyrics, as well as his newly released track, 'Azizam', which will feature on his upcoming album, 'Play'.

While 'Azizam' is only a preview for the new album, with a release date yet to be confirmed at the time of writing, Ed Sheeran has outlined what fans can expect over the coming weeks.

“My idea was because the album is so broad, I didn’t want to just be like, ‘Here’s the single. Here’s the album,’ so there’s music coming every sort of two, three weeks", Sheeran said in this interview.

He continued: “So there’s ‘Azizam’ now, there’s a song called ‘Old Phone’ that comes out in a couple of weeks, and then after that there’s another song coming. We shot all these videos, and I’m less about single moments and more about, I want people to sort of feel the breadth of the record, and I’m very confident that one of the songs will work".

“It’s more about just putting them out and letting people hear some of the record before it’s out, rather than what I’ve done before, which is just like, ‘Here’s my first single. Here’s the album".

Last month, Ed Sheeran also shared the titles for his next five albums, a plan which has been inspired by Quentin Tarantino. Find out more on this here.

Earlier this week, the singer also delivered a surprise live performance. More on this story here.
