More than 100 firefighters were called to tackle this blaze, with 20 pumps sent to the building just before noon on Friday (March 4) according to West Yorkshire Fire.
This happened after black smoke and flames could be seen coming into the air above Dalton Mills in West Yorkshire.
The city's leisure centre has since been opened in order to provide shelter for people affected by the fire, a blaze which has hit all of the Grade II listed building. People living nearby were advised to avoid travelling through the area due to the smoke.
This Victorian building has been used as a location to film BBC series Peaky Blinders, along with Downton Abbey, The Great Train Robbery, and the 2016 film The Limehouse Golem starring Bill Nighy.
The building has also said to been the largest textile mill in Yorkshire, employing approximately 2,000 people.
