The singer landed the biggest accolade of the Grammy Awards, winning 'Album of the Year' for 'Harry's House'. Styles beat off competition from the likes of Beyoncé ,Coldplay and Adele to land the top album prize.
Accepting the accolade, Harry Styles told the star studded audience that there is "no such thing as 'best in music'".
He added, "I don't think any of us sit in the studio making decisions based on what is gonna get us one of these". This is really, really kind. I'm so, so grateful... This doesn't happen to people like me very often, and this is so, so nice, thank you very much".
Styles was also awarded Best Vocal Pop Album on the night.
Reacting to their friends' triumph, Irish singer Niall Horan shared an image of himself watching Styles' victory on TV via his Instagram Stories.
"Very proud (love heart emoji) @harrystyles", Horan wrote.
British singer Liam Payne also paid tribute to his former bandmate.
Alongside an image of Harry looking down on his Grammy Award, Payne wrote, "Wow... this image is really something to wake up to and when you write music like you do Harry you deserve every millisecond of that moment looking down smiling at the trophy you've earned. God bless you brother congratulations".
Earlier that night, Harry Styles performed his track 'As It Was' on stage.
