American country pop singer and songwriter Lisa Gentile claimed that Noth groped her after he drove her home from a New York restaurant 20 years ago.
She also alleged that he threatened to ruin her career if she ever publicly spoke about the incident. She stated that she was “afraid of Noth’s power and his threats to ruin my career”.
Gentile is the latest woman to accuse Noth, after three other woman alleged sexual assault against the Sex And The City star between 2004 and 2015. Allegations which Noth has strongly denied.
Appearing alongside her lawyer Gloria Allred during a virtual press conference just before Christmas, Gentile said that Noth walked with her back to her apartment in New York after meeting him in a restaurant that night.
Back at her apartment, Gentile claimed it "quickly became uncomfortable", alleging Noth was "slobbering all over" her. She also said that she was "trying to get him to stop".
Chris Noth was also acussed of touching Gentile inappropriately, forcing her to place her hands on him.
“He became more aggressive and put both hands on my breasts and began squeezing them very hard over my shirt", Gentile insisted. “I kept pushing his hands down while he was pushing mine up".
Gentile also said that she managed to gain control of the situation, telling Noth "No I don't want this".
Gentile's lawyer Gloria Allred explained that despite being unable to file a legal complaint against Noth, her client hopes that by sharing her story, it will help others who have been “victimised by powerful men in their lives”.
“She believes that breaking her silence may help others who have been victimised by powerful men in their lives", Allred continued. “Because what Lisa alleges happened to her almost 20 years ago, under the law in New York State, it is too late for her to have access to justice in New York State".
Following the sexual assault allegations, Chris Noth was subsequently dropped by his agency, the A3 Artists Agency.
