The teenage girls, Kiea McCann 17, and Dlava Mohamed 16, were killed in a road accident outside Clones this week. The pair were travelling to a Debs Ball on the night of the crash.

The funeral of 17 year old Keia McCann will take place in County Monaghan, while 16 year old Dlava Mohamed will be laid to rest in County Dublin.

Kiea McCann will be laid to rest at Mount St Oliver's Cemetary in Clones, with a funeral procession leaving at 1.30pm, before travelling to the Sacred Heart Church in the town. Her funeral mass will take place there.

A hearse carrying Dlava's remains will depart her family's home in Clones, with her funeral taking place at Dublin's Clonskeagh Mosque. Friends and family of the teenager will be transported, with the funeral service taking place at 1.30 pm.

As a mark of respect for the two teenagers, a guard of honour was held in Clones while their remains were brought home.

A Book of Condolences will also be opened for Keia and Dlava outside their school Largy College in Monaghan tomorrow, from 9am to 1.30pm.

Paying tribute to Dlava, Largy College Principal Sharon Magennis called her "bubbly", while describing Keia as "pleasant and courteous", saying that the teenagers were "best friends".

Ms Magennis also revealed that the friends and classmates of the two girls are still in shock over the incident, stating there is an "outpouring of grief"
