In a lawsuit filed in the LA Supreme Court, the woman in question claimed that the country singer raped her in a hotel room in 2019, and subjected her to non-consensual sexual advances. She has alleged that she had been forced to keep working for Brooks due to financial hardship, which he knowingly exploited.
Representing the former employee, lawyers from Wigdor LLP, said: "We applaud our client's courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks".
Last month, Garth Brooks filed an anonymous lawsuit in Mississippi, where he asked a judge to stop the publication of "false allegations of sexual misconduct" by the woman, stating that it "irreparably harm (his) reputation, family, career, and livelihood".
Garth Brooks has denied these allegations made against him, releasing the following statement.
"I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be", he said.
