The actress who rose to fame playing Mandy Richardson on the show from 1996 to 2011 before returning in 2017, has said that she had to "take a stand" when it emerged that she had an OnlyFans account which is against rules set for cast members on the Soap.
She made the account for OnlyFans, a website allowing people to share content with "paying fans".
The site was founded by British entepreneur Tim Stokely in 2016. It has said that it has paid at least £3.7 billion "annually to creators". The site also has "1,500,000+ content creators".
They had planned to ban explicit photos and videos on the site. This was backtracked, following huge protest and backlash online.
Speaking to the Irish Sun Dunn said, "For me this is about having the right as a woman of 40 years old to decide what is right for me".
"I love photoshoots and I've worked hard for my figure. I don’t make a secret of the fact that I get a big boost out of it and I’m not apologetic for that".
"The pictures I’ve put on OnlyFans are no more explicit than the sort of things I’ve done in the past for magazines and even for Hollyoaks’ own official calendar".
"And I thought long and hard about the decision to join the site and had a number of conversations with my husband about it".
The Dark Knight actress also dismissed the idea that OnlyFans is like "pornography".
She said, "The idea that it’s just pornography is a total misconception, it’s not the case at all".
