Johnny Depp was suing his ex wife Amber Heard over an article which was published in the Washington Post in 2018, which alleged that Depp had sexually and violently abused Ms Heard during their marriage.
The couple divorced in 2017, having tied the knot in 2015.
Following a six week trial, the jury found in Depp's favour, awarding him $15 million in damages, including $5 million in punitive costs.
Since then, celebrities including Sharon Osbourne, Lauren Holden and Amy Schumer have had their say.
“Wow, it wasn’t what I was expecting”, Sharon said. “Wow, it wasn’t what I was expecting”.
Meanwhile, actress Lauren Holden claimed that "justice was served".
“The verdict of the jury sent a message to the world that abuse has no gender and that facts actually do matter. #TruthWins”, she added.
Meanwhile, Amy Schumer appeared to be supporting Amy Heard.
“Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke …”, the comedian said. “She will need her sisterhood”.
