Dancing on Ice is to be axed after 17 "successful" years, ITV have confirmed.
A representative for the broadcaster confirmed this news in a statement, saying that the show will be "rested" in 2026.
Dancing On Ice had been co-hosted by Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, until his departure in 2023. Schofield was replaced by Stephen Mulhern, who went on to co host alongside Willoughby.
"Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing On Ice will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series", a representative for ITV said. "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice".
The most recent judging panel for Dancing On Ice had consisted of Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
This also comes after Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean announced that they would hang up their skates, bringing the curtain down on their decades long relationship.
"After the tour finishes in Nottingham, we'll be hanging up the skates as Torvill and Dean. Will it be a sad moment? Of course!", Christopher said: "We climbed up the mountain, saw the beautiful views, won a few medals and we're able to bow out on our terms. The journey feels complete".
