Kamala Harris Walks Out To Beyoncé's 'Freedom' At First Campaign Staff Meeting Since Biden's Withdrawal

Harris who has been endorsed by Mr Biden as the next presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, appeared at her first campaign staff meeting at Wilmington Delaware on Monday (July 22). 

The Vice President walked out to a powerful anthem in the form Beyonce's track 'Freedom', a track which includes the following lyrics: “Freedom / Where are you? / ‘Cause I need freedom, too / I break chains all by myself / Won’t let my freedom rot in hell/ I’ma keep running / ‘Cause a winner don’t quit on themselves".

In her speech, Kamala Harris had this to say regarding her political opponent Donald Trump.

“I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say: I know Donald Trump’s type", she stated. 

Previously, Beyoncé had endorsed her support for Harris, saying: “New, youthful, sharp energy…Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go #kamala2024". 

Other artists and celebrities who have voiced their support for Kamala Harris also include, John Legend, Charlie XCX, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Legend, Barbara Streisland, Viola Davis, Spike Lee, Mark Hamill, Lizzo and others.
