Despite this decision, the singer has insisted that she will "always" be coming back to the UK after she moves.
Speaking to Zoe Ball about the response she has received since the announcment of her departure, Kylie said “I’ve had friends call me, my friend at my local restaurant was like: ‘Kylie, what do you mean? You can’t go".
“I said: ‘I’m not really going. I’ve lived here for 30 years, I’m always going to be back".
Insisting that she will return regularly return, Kylie said that she does not think that “too much will change”.
She joked, “I can’t not be here, are you kidding?”.
“I have spent a lot of time with my family this year in Australia and it felt really good and I have been talking about that for a while", the Can't Get You Outta My Head singer added, “Don’t worry, I will not be a stranger".
Kylie Minogue also spoke about the possibility of her going on tour again, saying that she is "dreaming of doing dates".
“We are inching closer to being able to do something like that", she said. “Patience. I can’t wait".
“Keep your disco outfit not too far away. Not at the back of the cupboard".
Kylie also spoke about her recent collaboration with Years And Years' Olly Alexander "One Minute To Midnight", describing the singer as "so sweet and gorgeous".
“We shot the video a couple of weeks ago, which was super fun and I just can’t wait for people to hear this", she revealed.
