This comes after the singer's two dogs Gustavo and Koji were stolen from her dog walker Ryan Fischer, who was also shot in the process. Last year, James Howard Jackson was jailed for 21 years in prison for shooting Fischer. He was one of three men who carried out the attack.
A woman Jennifer McBride, who has been charged with the theft of the dogs, had previously sued Gaga for the reward, along with an additional $1.5 million in damages.
Earlier this week, Judge Holly Fujie found in favour of Lady Gaga, who stated that McBride's claim was “legally insufficient in its entirety”, following her involvement in the theft of the animals.
This court order also stated that McBride had been indicted, pleading no contest to the charges of receiving stolen property in 2022. This rendered her “not entitled to thereafter benefit from their wrongdoing by seeking to enforce the contract".
