The show's previous property near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar reportedly became unavailable, causing the show's powers that be to look elsewhere.
Executive producer Mike Spencer had revealed that this villa was selected last December, before being redesigned in January.
"It's the first time, I think, that we've designed it more editorially", Spencer said on the location. "We know how many chat areas we need, we know you want those places you can sneak off to".
The new layout wiill see contestants enter the villa through a giant chrome heart, which sits outside the front of the building over the wooden walkway leading towards the front door.
The ground floor is where the bedrooms are located, along with a selection of double beds. Pop art themed and and outstanding neon flights can also be spotted right through the villa. Meanwhile, the garden also includes seating areas with, blue, yellow and pink accents.
The infinty pool which includes water sun loungers, is overlooked by the enclosed sun terrace. It also leads towards the women's dressing rooms.
The famous 'Dog House' will also feature. It is a foldout bed in the living room where contestants who have found fallen out with their partner will spend the night.
Love Island will once again be hosted by Laura Whitmore, whose husband Iain Stirling will again provide the voiceover.
Among this year's contestants includes the first Irish male Dami Hope who hails from Dublin. While Gemma Owen, the daughter of former English footballer Michael Owen will also feature.
