Meghan Markle has revealed that she suffered "rare and scary" health issues related to her pregnancy.
The Duchess of Sussex made this revelation in her debut episode of her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. This new podcast is part of her broader evolution of her professional interests, working as a lifestyle content producer.
The former Suits star also launched her new lifestyle series on Netflix, With Love Meghan. Last month, it emerged that this series was among the top 10 most watched shows on the platform. More on this here.
Speaking on her maiden episode of her podcast, Meghan Markle chatted with Bumble dating app founder, Whitney Wolfe Herd, where she said, "we both had very similar experiences - though we didn't know each other at the time - with postpartum, and we both had preeclampsia. Postpartum preeclampsia".
"It's so rare and so scary", Markle continued. "You're still trying to juggle all of these things, and the world doesn't know what's happening quietly".
"And in the quiet, you're still just trying to show up, mostly for your children, yeah, but those things are huge medical scares".
Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry share two children, five year old son, Archie, and three year old daughter, Lily.
