The pair will reunite on screen, having previously co-starred as the much loved Tony Smart and Gary Strang in the laddish flat share comedy, Men Behaving Badly, which aired on ITV from 1992 to 1998.
Decades on, the pair will reunite to star in a road trip adventure series, which will be based in France.
Titled, Neil & Martin's Bon Voyage, the three part series will see Neil Morrissey take through his friend Martin Clunes through France, a country which he calls his second home. The pair will travel through Normandy, through the Alps to Morrisey's home and cider apple orchard in the southern region, as they take in the food, landscapes and local traditions.
This series will also see Clunes and Morrissey reflect on their professional and personal relationship which has spanned more than three decades.
"It's fantastic we have this golden opportunity to reunite so I can introduce my pal Martin to all the things I love so much about France, along with some Gallic treasures I've always wanted to see", Morrissey said. "I've fallen in love with this country, its glorious food, its delicious wine, and knowing Martin has an EU passport, I'm fairly certain he'll be relocating here once I've finished with him".
Elsewhere, Martin Clunes said that he was "really looking forward to all the sights, sounds, tastes, people, and experiences Neil's lined up for me in France".
He added: "Most of all, I'm looking forward to spending a great deal of time with my old mate Neil, who I've grown to miss more than ever since he's absconded to a country that he claims has the best scenery, food, and wine on earth - is he right?".
"I intend to find out by devouring the lot of it and seeing what I can remember afterwards".
Neil & Martin's Bon Voyage will air on Gold next year.
Since Men Behaving Badly, Neil Morrissey also starred as deputy head Eddie Lawson in school drama Waterloo Road, in Line of Duty as Nigel Morton, and Rocky in ITV show Boon.
Elsewhere, Martin Clunes starred as the titular character in ITV's Doc Martin, which looked at his trials and tribulations as a doctor who moves from London to the fictional village of Portwenn in Cornwall.
