The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic has been delayed until next year, it has been confirmed.
The biopic, titled Michael, was originally set to air in the US in April 2025. However, it has been confirmed that Lionsgate Films who are distributing this film, have pushed back the release date of the biopic, in order to position it "in the awards corridor".
Michael, which is directed by Antoine Fuqua, is to be released in the US on 3 October next year, with global premiere dates yet to be confirmed. The film is also set to be globally distributed by Universal Pictures.
Other information regarding casting has yet to be made public. Its first trailer was shown to critics at CinemaCon in April, and was reportedly well received.
