The Formula 1 legend was reportedly seen at his daughter's wedding Gina's wedding last weekend, which took place at the family's €32 million Majorcan mansion.
Michael's daughter Gina and her long-term partner Iain Bethke tied the know at a lavish ceremony at the mansion on Saturday, with Gina later writing on social media: 'Forever yes to you, yes to forever'.
Following his accident on the Alps, Michael Schumacher spent several months in a medically induced coma.
Having returned to his family home in Lake Geneva in September 2014, the German has been under the care of his dedicated wife Corinna, and a team of medical professionals. He has not been seen in public over the last decade.
Only a selected group of trusted friends and family members have been allowed to visit Michael in that time, with only a small number of people from both inside and outside the family knowing the specifics surrounding his condition.
All wedding guests were also asked to leave their mobile phones at the venue's entrance to prevent any photos of Schumacher taken without permission. However, Michael's appearance in front of other extended family members may suggest that his health has improved, or his wife's stance is softening.
Another Schumacher family outing could be on the cards in the near future, after Mick Schumacher appeared to propose to his long term girlfriend and Danish model Laila Hasanovic.
Posting on Instagram, Ms Hasanovic shared a photo of herself wearing a diamond ring on her finger.
