Fashion icon, Naomi Campbell gave fans a glimpse into the “special moment” she became a mother to her new-born baby girl. The 51-year-old supermodel told her YouTube fans that she was playing Bob Marley music during the birth of her first child.
Speaking on her YouTube series, No Filter, Naomi treated fans to an interview with legendary fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. Campbell took time to share with fans her intimate moment and revealed she listened to Bob Marley because it is her “roots”.
Naomi said, “Music is like... In my most special moments, you know I just became a mum, I had Bob Marley playing. That's my roots, you know? It's my roots.” When writing in the livestream chat, the model thanked fans for the “pre birthday wishes” and said she was “honoured and humbled” to become a mother.
Naomi has spoken of her longing to become a mother for many years now, prior to announcing the new arrival on Instagram this month. In 2017, the model told reporters that she thinks about having children “all the time” but science could help her “do it when I want.”
Naomi shocked her fans when she made the surprise announcement of daughter's arrival by sharing a picture of herself holding the baby’s feet while wearing a hospital bracelet. In the caption, the model said, “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother. So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you, my angel. There is no greater love.”
Rumours are flying around suggesting Naomi has an American boyfriend, with sources close to The Sun revealing the 51-year-old has “really mellowed” in the past year and is in a “wonderful place in life”.
The insider claims Naomi is living in America with her boyfriend and is “really happy”. “It finally felt like the perfect time to become a mother and she is over the moon. The first lockdown allowed her to stop and take stock of the important things and she decided now was the time to properly look into starting a family.”
