Nicola Coughlan Wins Harper's Bazaar Award

Nicola Coughlan has been awarded at this year's Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year 2024 awards.

This event took place in London's Claridge's hotel, and was co presented by actresses Golda Rosheuvel, Jodie Comer, actor Paapa Essiedu and Love Island host Maya Jama.

The Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Coughlan won the television actress award, on the same night that Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner won the performance accolade.

Killing Eve and Sil star Harriet Walter was honoured with the icon award for her theatre, film and TV work. She was presented the award by Brian Cox, who played Walter's former husband in TV hit, Succession.

Writer Jilly Cooper was also awarded for  "her extraordinary half-century contribution to literature". She was presented with the award by Poldark star Aidan Turner.

On the night, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was presented with the entrepreneur for her "innovation and dedication to the British and global fashion industry". 

Victoria was presented with her award by her youngest daughter Harper, whose father is Victoria's husband and former footballer David Beckham. Harper who is 13 years old, has often gone to her mother's fashion events, and the premiere of the couple's Netflix documentary series.

Editor-in-chief of Harper Baazar UK, Lydia Slater said:  "We are hugely privileged to have presented the Women of the Year Awards to this esteemed group of winners, all of whom have left us inspired by their trailblazing, impactful contribution and dedication to their respective fields". 

Other household names award women of the year accolades on the night include singer Raye, artist Rana Begum, designer Francesca Amfittheatrof, actress Ambika Mod, and Olympia Katarina Johnson.
