Irish actors Barry Keoghan and Paul Mescal are to star in the upcoming Sam Mendes directed movies about the Beatles.
This news was confirmed by Mendes himself, who revealed that the Fab Four will be played by Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan and Joseph Quinn.
Saltburn star Keoghan will play Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, while fellow Irish actor and Normal People star Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney. The late John Lennon will be portrayed by Harris Dickinson, while Joseph Quinn will play George Harrison.
Mendes also revealed that The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will be launched in April 2028, marking the first "bingeable moment in cinema". The director also said that filming all four movies will take over a year.
Each movie is to be told from the perspective of one of the Fab Four. It is also the first ever film to be granted music rights to the Beatles discography. Find out more on this here.

Speaking of Barry Keoghan, the actor is to star in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, starring Cillian Murphy, which is to be released later this year. Written by creator Steven Knight, the film is set to entail new conflicts involving the Shelby family.
