Paul Mescal is to sell some of his clothes which he wore at various Gladiator II events to raise money for Pieta House.
The actor who starred in the recently directed Ridley Scott sequel, will sell a number of items from his personal wardrobe as part of an auction run by Vinted, which takes place next week (December 16).
Such items include Jimmy Choo leather boots, t-shirts and knitted wear all donned by Mescal during various interviews and other Gladiator II outings, promoting the movie.
Speaking about this, Pieta House Chief Executive, Stephanie Manahan said she expects these items to create quite a lot of interest, while hailing Mescal as a "style icon".
"He has become a bit of a style icon for sure", she said. "He has become a bit of a style icon for sure".
Manahan also called Mescal a proud son of Ireland, and a superstar, praising him for using his platform to raise awareness for mental health, especially suicide prevention.
She said that he had previously auctioned off his chain which he wore while filming Normal People, which set off a fashion trend, in aid of Pieta House.
"If someone like Paul can encourage young men to seek help, to reach out, to talk, then it's really a job incredibly well done", she stated, adding that suicide and suicide awareness are important issues to him, as he has shone a light on these subjects, particularly on young men.
Stephanie Manahan added that more information can be found via the Vintedsite or Pieta website or social media account, as well as information on the auction,
