Peaky Blinders is set to return for a seventh series, according to reports.
Rumours of a new season had first surfaced at the beginning of this month, with a TV source now allegedly revealing that Peaky Blinders creator, Steven Knight, is keen to start work on a new series, with the BBC on board, according to reports.
"The sixth series was meant to be the last, and the film was supposed to end the story", a source told The Sun. "But show boss Steven Knight couldn't resist coming back. He has been hinting for a while that he wanted to do more".
The source added: "Now the BBC has officially green-lit the project, and pre-production is under way, which will thrill fans".
News of this comes as we currently look set to see Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy reprise his role as Thomas Shelby for the upcoming movie, 'The Immortal Man', the highly anticipated Peaky spin off film, which also features fellow Irish actor, Barry Keoghan. More on this here.
Considering that series six of the Netflix hit was set during the 1930s, and the movie is to be set during WWII, this reported series seven is expected to be set around the 1950s.
