The actress will reprise her role as titular character Bridget Jones, alongside Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson for Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
The film which is set for release on Valentine's Day 2025, will see Grant reprise his role as Daniel Cleaver, with Thompson set to return as Bridget's despairing obstetrician. 12 Years A Slave star Chiwetel EJiofar and One Day star Leo Woodall will also join the cast of this much-loved rom com.
Bridget Jones creator and British author Helen Fielding had revealed that she decided to write Bridget's love interest Mark Darcy out of her third book, as she did not want the character to become "smug married". Mark Darcy was played by Colin Firth in the previous films.
