Riverdance which has often been hailed as the group which "has transformed from a spectacle into a global cultural phenomenon", went on to become a major headline act which featured at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994.
The dance troupe which has its roots in Irish dancing, subsequently turned into a full-length show, changing the face of Irish dance and music, resulting in huge global success.
It all began at the Point Theatre on 30 April 1994, when American actors and original performers Michael Flately and Jean Butler wowed and delivering an eight minute dance which stunned the Eurovision audience.
Earlier this year, it was announced that a new generation of dancers would come together for a brand new tour across Ireland and the UK, with the Irish tour to run from 5 June to 8 September.
