Robbie Williams has said that he feels "remarkable", following a decade-long battle with mental health issues.

Former Take That singer Williams has endured a much-publicised battle with depression, as well as alcohol and drug issues.

Williams spoke about coming out the other side of these struggles at the red carpet of the recent European premiere for his film Better Man yesterday (November 27).

Speaking about these issues, Robbie Williams said that there is "beauty" at the end of a struggle like this.

“We’re getting quite knowledgeable with mental health, where to go and what to do", he said. “Just know this. It took me nearly a couple of decades to fight through it, and now I’m at the other end, and it’s beautiful".

“And there is beauty at the end of that struggle, and it feels remarkable".

Robbie Williams will be the focus of this biopic, where he will be played by a CGI chimpanzee, a reference on how he often feels like a "performing monkey".

Earlier this week, Robbie Williams shared his new single, 'Forbidden Road' from this Better Man biopic. Check that out here.

This also comes a year on from Williams' self-titled Netflix documentary, where he reflected on his career.

When asked about what he learned from the project, Williams said: “I discovered what I already knew before the documentary, and the film, that I’m incredibly ambitious, and these are tools that I need to utilise to propel me for my third act of my career".

“I also realised that I’ve shared an awful lot of the person that I used to be, and now I’m somebody different, and I like this version of me much, much more".
