Robbie Williams has announced plans to go back to school and resit his GCSEs.

The former Take That singer, has been reportedly looking into home education options.

This comes as Williams also recently received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song following the release of his Better Man soundtrack, Forbidden Fruit.

At the age of 16, Robbie Williams was taken from the classroom, and into a life of superstardom, joining the boyband Take That.

"I've been wanting to set up a university", Williams said. "but, actually, I wouldn't be able to attend if and when I do, because I didn't get any GCSEs".

"I got nothing higher than a grade D, and everything else I failed or I didn't turn up for. I really want to go back and get them", he added. "I can't remember my English teacher's name, but I was thinking there might be an interesting TV show in it, where I have to go back to school - obviously in an age-appropriate way!".

"taken ages to get over that"

By the time he left school aged 16, Robbie Williams claimed he was made to feel like he was "stupid", despite struggling with several learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADHD to name a few.

"All my life I've felt really stupid because we didn't know about dyslexia in the '70s and '80s in Stoke-on-Trent", Williams explained.

"I've got dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, but we didn't have those then, so I left school thinking I was a dumb-dumb and it's taken ages to get over that".

Robbie Williams' biopic, 'Better Man' is to hit cinema screens on December 26. More on this here.
