The track which sees Smith collaborate with the Queen of Pop, had been teased on the 'Stay With Me' singer's social media accounts in recent weeks. With both singers rapping lyrics in the track, 'Vulgar' also boasts a driving beat and Middle Eastern-style melody.
Back in February, Madonna had presented Smith and singer Kim Petras with the award for best pop duo/group performance for their hit Unholy.
"Are you ready for some controversy?", Madonna had said when introducing the pair to the stage earlier that evening. "If they call you shocking, scandalous, troublesome, problematic, provocative or dangerous, you are definitely onto something".
Sam Smith had previously suggested that Madonna would also join them as a surprise guest at a concert at Manchester's AO arena last month. However, the show was cancelled at the last minute.
