The Basic Instinct star had said last week that River Stone the son of her brother Patrick was critically ill, and that the family were praying for a miracle.
Stone wrote, "My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today. Please pray for him. We need a miracle".
Sadly, the Casino actress confirmed that River Stone died on Monday.
She took to Instagram to share footage of River smiling, whilst playing in bed, with the caption, "River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021".

Following this, Sharon Stone received support from some friends.
"Noooooooooooooo. I am in disbelief. Oh Sharon, there are no words, other than I'm so sorry for your whole family’s loss. I am praying for all of you at this unimaginable time", wrote Will & Grace star Debra Messing.
Sean Hayes who also starred in Will & Grace added, "Ugh. I’m sitting here in tears. I’m so sorry, Sharon. What a beautiful boy. Sending all my love to you and your family".
Fellow actress, Selma Blair also added, "I am so sorry. My lord".
