The one and only Sinitta joined Colm and Lucy in studio this morning and the guys discovered two interesting things... what it was really like being on I'm a Celebrity... and the fact of her Irish surname! The 80's pop sensation is in Dublin at the moment for her starring role in "Now That's What I Call A Musical" at the Bórd Gáis Energy Theatre, opening tomorrow, January 21st.
"Sometimes my kids show me clips on YouTube, and it literally gives me the heebie-jeebies" She reflects on her experience on 'I'm A Celebrity - Get Me Out Of Here'. "I wouldn't do it again - but I'm glad I did it." We don't blame her!
More surprising to most would be discovering that Sinitta is almost Irish! - listen to Colm and Lucy's reaction here:
'NOW THAT’S’ WHAT I CALL A MUSICAL' opens tomorrow 21st January at the Bórd Gáis Energy Theatre for one week only. Set in Birmingham in 1989, and centering around two best-friends and everyone's worst nightmare - the dreaded school reunion- it's hilarious, bursting with some of the greatest smash-hits from the 80s and not to be missed. Written by the award-winning Pippa Evans, it features show-stopping direction and choreography by Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood and features a stellar cast, including Nina Wadia (Eastenders) Sam Bailey (X Factor, Beauty and the Beast) and, of course, a special guest appearance by 80’s pop icon Sinitta, who we were lucky enough to meet this morning!
(Somewhere in Cavan, we hope Derek Malone's day has been made...!)
