Several social media accounts were created by Jack Sweeney, which track the takeoffs, and landings of planes which are owned by billionaires, politicians, and other household names.
Sweeney's tracking first came to the attention of the public for logging the private jets of Russian oligarchs at the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
A cease and desist letter has been issued by Swift's lawyers, branding Sweeney's conduct as "reckless", and accusing him of "stalking, and harassing behaviour".
They have also claimed that Taylor Swift has been living her life "in a constant state of fear for her personal safety".
"While this may be a game for you or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter", the letter also added.
However, Mr Sweeney has insisted that the aim of his social media accounts is to provide "transparency", and use publicly available data from the Federal Aviation Administration.
"I think it's important to note that nowhere do I intend for harm, I simply share the facts," Mr Sweeney told NBC News. "I actually think Swift has some good songs".
Mr Sweeney's lawyer from Florida, James Slater, has also stated that Taylor Swift's legal team do not have any legal authority to block these accounts.
"There's no claim to just publicising public information," Mr Slater said. "And in Ms Swift's lawyers' letter, they didn't address any real claims".
Taylor Swift's representatives have yet to comment on the matter.
This comes as Swift hopes to use her private jet to travel to Las Vegas to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce play for the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. Swift will travel to Vegas, having performed four nights at Japan's Tokyo Dome.
