This move has sparked anger among the crew members, who feel that a "line has been crossed".
This news comes after the Netflix hit had receivied strong backlash over upcoming scenes, which will appear to suggest that Prince Philip had an affair with a female friend.
The show's risqué plot lines have already come under fire, with the Crown being accused of showing a lack of sensitivity following the Queen's death a few weeks ago.
The show's stint in the firing line shows no signs of ending, with upcoming scenes set to suggest that that King Charles III had spoken out against his late mother, saying that she was out of touch.
“To be going back to Paris and turning Diana’s final days and hours into a drama feels very uncomfortable", a source has said. “Finally, some of the crew members are pushing back on the ideas being tabled".
The source continued, “The show always tried to present a fictional version of royal history with as much sensitivity as possible".
“But lately, as things get closer to the present day, it feels harder to strike that balance", they added. “With some of those moments still so fresh and upsetting, it feels as though a line is being crossed".
“Some production staff are now starting to speak up about their feelings".
Despite this, Netflix have insisted that the the exact moment of the tragic car crash, resulting in Princess Diana's death will not be aired.
The spokesperson for the King has declined the chance to comment.
