Reports have stated that the DJ died from suicide.
Boss' wife Alison Hokler had reportedly run into a police station in LA, having become increasingly concerned about her husband leaving their house without his car, which was reportedly out of character.
A short while later, police were called to a hotel, following reports of a shooting from a room. Police later found Stephen 'tWitch' Boss in a hotel room, with a self inflicted gun shot wound, according to the law enforcement.
Having started DJing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014, Boss remained in the role until the show finished. He was also made executive producer by Ellen in 2020.
Three days before he died, Stephen's wife Alison shared a photo of the pair on their wedding day, celebrating their 9th anniversary of marriage.
Along with the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stephen 'tWitch' Boss also enjoyed success as an actor, with starring roles including Step Up and Magic Mike XXL. He burst onto the scene with some wonderful dance skills on the show So You Think You Can Dance in 2008.
Stephen’s co star from So You Think You Can Dance Rudy Abreu paid tribute to him, writing, “My heart is broken right now finding out this news… I am so sorry and I love you…”.
“Sisssssssster my heart is broken. I’m sooooo sorry”, singer Tamar Braxton wrote under Alison’s Instagram post.
“Praying for your family”, Real Housewives of Miami Lars Pippen also added.
Stephen is survived by his wife Alison, and his three chidren, 14 year old Weslie, 6 year old Maddix, and 3 year old Zaia.
