The franchise producer Barbara Broccoli has said it's time for a "re-invention of Bond" where we'll get to see his more sensitive and emotional side in the same way other men have evolved. The next film will also see more opportunities for female actors who will get bigger roles.
Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy and Regé-Jean Page are still in the running to play the character but ultimately it will be down to who can commit to that many years working on the same movie franchise.
