Tiger King star Joe Exotic has announced his engagement to fellow prison inmate Jorge Marquez.
Exotic whose real name is Joseph Maldonado, garnered worldwide fame following release of hit Netflix show Tiger King, which explored the explosive rivalry between his zoo and big cat sanctuary owner Carole Baskin.
Taking to social media, the Tiger King star confirmed his plans to marry his 33 year old prison inmate via X.
"He is so amazing and is from Mexico," he wrote. "Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we [will] be leaving America when we both get out.
"Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago".
Joe Exotic had reportedly submitted an application for marriage to the federal prison to marry Marquez.
Joe Exotic is currently serving a 21 year prison sentence for trying to hire two different men to murder Carole Baskin, after she accused him of treating his animals poorly.
Exotic was jailed in 2021, after offering $10,000 to an undercover FBI agent to kill Baskin, having told the men in question: "Just like follow her into a mall parking lot and just cap her and drive off".
Exotic had always denied these claims. He was also jailed for selling tiger cubs, killing five tigers, and falsifying wildlife records. His zoo which is located in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, was also closed down.
Previously, Joe Exotic famously had a unofficial three-way marriage with his long-time partner John Finlay, and Travis Maldonado, who was aged 19 years old at the time. He and Exotic later officially married in 2015, with Finlay becoming estranged.
Sadly, Mr Maldonado died from a self-inflicted, accidental gunshot wound in 2017.
Two months after that, Joe Exotic married to Dillon Passage, who later filed for divorce.
