The 42 year old cinematographer was tragically killed during filming last October when the gun held by Baldwin fired a live round, striking her in the chest. Director Joel Souza was also injured in this shooting.
Alec Baldwin has always denied responsibility for the shooting. The actor has insisted that live rounds should not be allowed on set for the filming in New Mexico.
Along with footage, Sante Fe County sherfiff Adan Mendoza also shared photographs from the scene, along with videtaped interviews from Rust cast members including Alec Baldwin. They also added that a formal decision over criminal charges would require more forensic work.
Mendoza said in a statement, "Various components of the investigation remain outstanding, including FBI firearm and ballistic forensics along with DNA and latent fingerprint analysis, (coroner's) findings and the analysis of Mr. Alec Baldwin's phone data extracted by Suffolk County Sheriff's investigators".
The footage itself which was shared on Monday, shows Baldwin in costume, practising with what looks like the gun that later went off in his hand, fatally shooting Hutchins.
Alec Baldwin has already by named in several lawsuits filed in relation to Hutchins' death. One of these suits was filed by her husband Mathew. Baldwin has also argued that an indemnification clause in his contract prevents him from personal liability for the shooting.
Rust movie productions have already by fined the maximum amount of $137,000 by the state of New Mexico for "wilfull" safety lapses, leading to Hutchins' death.
