"Hi, I'm Brendan Gleeson. If you don't recognise the accent, I'm Irish. And if you don't recognise the face, I'm that fella that you've seen in that thing you can't remember but you think you kind of liked", Gleeson said, as he introduced himself to the audience.

After telling several jokes, and tuning his mandolin, Gleeson quickly turned his attention to Farrell.

"Do you know who else is weird and wonderful?" he asked the audience. "Colin Farrell".

"We worked together on In Bruges, and we just got back together for a new film, The Banshees of Inisherin, Gleeson contined.

"And funny enough, it's about two fellas who fall out because one of them's a little too needy", he added. "And I mean, I love Colin to bits, but the story's not too far from the truth".

Gleeson subsequently introduced Farrell to the stage, with the Phone Booth star claiming that he was "just passing". Farrell then hugged Gleeson, before adding "well done".

Along with performing several comedy sketches on his own, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson did perform one on stage together. Check it out below.

Other sketches saw Gleeson pretending to be a warrior chief, an Irish journalist for CNN, and a high school student, amongst others.

The actor concluded the show by thanking Farrell, the cast, musical guest Willow and "all the people who made this week such a special week".

"It's one of the most beautiful bunches of people I've ever come across - and all in the middle of New York", Gleeson exclaimed. "It's been very special".
