A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the disappearance of Kyran Durnin.
The child, who would be 8-years-old, is missing and presumed dead.
He was reported missing from his home in County Louth in August, but Gardaí suspect he died over two years ago.
A murder investigation was launched in October, about six weeks after a search began.
Soon afterwards, they searched the boy's former family home in Dundalk, where they lived until May of this year.
Today, a woman was arrested on suspicion of murder.
She is being held at a Garda Station in the East of the country.
