Dermot O'Leary is to star in Netflix's new Richard Curtis movie, That Christmas.

The former X Factor presenter is to star in the new festive movie, co-written by Love Actually director Richard Curtis. It will also see Curtis reunite with Love Actually star Billy Nighy, aka Billy Mack (Christmas Is All Around Me).

Based on the heart-warming trilogy of children's books, That Christmas also stars former Doctor Who Jodie Whitaker, and Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), alongside Nighy who play the residents of a charming Suffolk seaside town where things are turnside upside over Christmas.

That Christmas explores a series of entwined tales of family, and friends, as well as love and loneliness and Santa Clause who is played by Brian Cox, making a huge mistake, as well as major number of turkeys.

This Morning host Dermot O'Leary will offer his voice to the role of Mr Chop in this animation, with British radio breakfast host Jordan North playing Mr Hack.

That Christmas will also be directed by How To Train Your Dragon animator Simon Otto, while the film will also include the soundtrack Under The Tree, written and recorded by Ed Sheeran and a score from Happy Feet composer John Powell.

That Christmas will stream to Netflix in 2025.
